Heiðrún G. Viktorsdóttir (b.1990) graduated with a B.A. degree from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2015. Heiðrún has worked as a curator and organized events in various spaces. In 2016, she was nominated for the DV Cultural Prize for artistic direction in Ekkisens Artspace, and in 2018 she was a part of the planning team for the Straumar Art Festival in Flateyri. Heiðrún has participated in group exhibitions in Iceland and abroad, including in close collaboration with the art collective Computer Spirit. From 2018-2021, Heiðrún worked at Outvert Artspace and ArtsIceland as a project manager where she curated the group exhibitions KOLEFNI and Mörsugur. Heiðrún now lives in Reykjavík, where she works independently as an artist.

The primary sources of inspiration in Heiðrún’s creativity is the consciousness of herself as gender, the human body, ethereal connections to nature, and the existential self. Heiðrún creates artworks by looking at the body from a spiritual perspective where she examines the limits of the human body between the physical and intangible By listening to her instinct and subconscious, she creates a channel where the existential self and the body can flourish independently in the form of creativity.
