Restroom / Náðhús, duration: 1.5 hours, performed at a private home, 2021.

Restroom is inspired by the physical and intimate routine of bathing. While the shower runs, the artist moves the body in a repetitive motion to create suction sounds with their skin. The artist’s presence creates a dimension of physical intimacy and human vulnerability in a domestic setting. The flowing water drips onto the body to soothe the senses, and a still pond settles in the subconscious. The artist adapts to a watery space that embodies ideas of the past, present, and future.
